If you’ve never attended an immersive dinner event like this before, we have these seven tips to help you get ready:

 

1. EVERYONE IS A SUSPECT

Yes, we mean everyone! Our Without A Cue Actors (or “WACtors” as we say in the business) are excellent at hiding their motivations. We want to bring a killer to justice, not send an innocent person to jail. So keep an open mind!

 

2. FEEL FREE TO DRESS IN THE THEME OF THE SHOW

We want you to have as much fun as our WACtors do! We love when our audiences get into characters of their own. You don’t have to come in costume, and others may not, but that’s ok! We want you to have fun.

 

3. STAY ENGAGED

Pay attention, because you NEVER know when your favorite character might die or mysteriously disappear. It could be in the first five minutes or it could be in the last ten, so don’t miss your chance to hear what important clues they have to say. You’re trying to solve a murder, and the only real way to figure it out is to pay attention and take notes with the pencil provided. Sometimes, you may be able to find clues on your table or online.

 

4. THE SHOW IS HAPPENING EVERYWHERE.

Many of our performances are in restaurants, meeting rooms, banquet halls, and other found spaces. Our shows take place in the audience, so if you don’t see a stage or are not near the stage, don’t worry. Relax and get comfortable! Feel free to turn your chair around to see the action.

 

5. REMEMBER THE THREE “M’s” OF MURDER MYSTERY.

Who is the Murderer? What was their Motive? And what Method did they use to commit this crime? A ballot will be provided to you which you will turn in before the killer is revealed. One Ballot with the most correct answer may win a prize.

 

6. DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS? DON’T WORRY, YOU’LL HAVE TIME TO MEET THE CHARACTERS.

Many of our shows feature pre-show entertainment where our WACtors will come out and mingle with you and the other guests. Feel free to use this time to get some important clues! Before we reveal the killer, there will also be time for you to ask the suspects a few more questions before they collect your ballot. Who has motives? Who has means? What relationships do the characters have with each other? Any information you can get is helpful.

 

7. HAVE FUN!

We know it sounds silly to say, but that is the most important thing! You’re here to have fun. We Kill. You Laugh.
