We are currently auditioning for the iconic characters from the TV show Friends. We are looking for actors who can give the best impersonations, so come prepared with a memorized monologue of one two minutes or less done as your Friends character of choice. You may also come with 16-32 bars of a song if you like, but singing is not required. An accompanist will not be provided so please bring a backing track. All performers will double as other characters - such as Gunther, Janice, Richard, and so on – so please have knowledge of the show and be prepared to read as any of these roles:
Ross - affectionate but awkward, Ross can be lovable and hate-able at the same time. Whiny and tends to be a bit of a know-it-all.
Monica - meticulous and competitive, Monica can switch on a dime. One minute affectionate, the next ready to take out the competition.
Chandler - dry and sarcastic, Chandler has a quip for everything. Looking for someone with excellent comedic timing.
Rachel – sweet but thoughtless, Rachel is used to getting what she wants. Must be able to play spoiled, but not unlikable.
Joey – charming but stupid, Joey is the heart of the group. Must demonstrate his childish and promiscuous nature without being womanizing.
Phoebe – quirky and lovable, Phoebe is one of the most iconic characters. Looking for someone who can demonstrate her eccentricities. Guitar experience is a plus.
Performances for PHRIENDS: The One With Murder are scheduled to run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from October 14 until December 20. Rehearsals will be held September 25 until October 14 in Willow Grove with a total of 18 hours of rehearsal. Performances will be at Without A Cue's performance venue, Red Rum, at 6th and Walnut. Performers will be paid $20 an hour for rehearsals and performance. Schedule will be for two performances a night, 4:30 call on Fridays and Saturdays, 1:30 call on Sundays. We will be casting multiple actors in roles for flexibility (so actors may not need to perform all 11 weeks.)
