Without A Cue Productions is looking for talented, versatile actors to join its team for its January – March 2022 season at various locations and on various dates. 

Without A Cue offers steady, consistent work year-round.  We employ over 50 local actors in 350 performances a year. Access to a car is a requirement since most of our venues are not accessible by public transportation.

Current roles available: 

 

Beau – (M) 20-35 

A ne’er do well and lady’s man...or at least he thinks he is. Slow on the uptake, but ambitious. Beau is haughty, selfish, and after his late father’s fortune. Southern accent required.  Performances Saturday evenings in Bensalem January – April. 

  

Cricket – (M) 20-35 

An alligator loving boy from the bayou. He is loveable and seemingly dimwitted but has his own agenda. Southern accent required.  Performances Saturday evenings in Bensalem January – April. 

  

Ryann – (F) 20-30 

An energetic and romantic journalist. She falls in love with a man she heard about on the radio. A caricature of Meg Ryan in “Sleepless in Seattle.”  Performances in various locations in the Philadelphia area in February. 

  

Jacques – (M) 21+ 

A Mime. Strong facial expressions and physical phrasing are required. Must communicate effectively and directly to the audience without words.  Performances various dates and locations in Philadelphia area January – March. 

  

Fifi – (F) 35+ 

A singer in a French cabaret. Suffers from ennui. A French accent and singing skills are required. Performances various dates and locations in Philadelphia area January – March. 

Christopher – (M) 21+ 

A hopelessly romantic yet woefully untalented painter from America living in Paris. Singing required.  .  Performances various dates and locations in Philadelphia area January – March. 

  

Murphy – (M) 20-25 

College fraternity brother. More intelligent and ruthless than he sometimes lets on, he takes pleasure in bullying others. Singing required.  .  Performances various dates and locations in Philadelphia area in March. 

Inspector Caramba – (M) 35+ 

Seemingly bumbling and disorganized on the surface, but is actually a very observant detective. Parody of Columbo. (Doubles with other characters.)  Performances various dates and locations in Philadelphia area January – March. Daytime availability required. 

  

Detective Snoop Magee – (M) 25+ 

Film Noir style PI. Humphry Bogart impersonations are a plus, but not required. Snoop has numerous direct interactions with the audience, requiring an actor with improvisational skills.  Performing Friday and Saturday nights in January at Paper Mill Playhouse in NJ, as well as various locations the rest of the months. 

  

Don Idunnit – (M) 25+ 

Owner of a seedy Speakeasy in Chicago. Don has numerous direct interactions with the audience, requiring an actor with improvisational skills.  Performing Friday and Saturday nights in January at Paper Mill Playhouse in NJ, as well as various locations the rest of the months.
